In Your" Garden - From The Book "Pieces Of My Heart
The birds chirp and sing,
The cat purrs and wants a pat,
We talk about nothing,
Laugh and smile,
How I miss those days,
Now your garden blooms,
The birds they chirp,
There is no one to talk to,
Yet I love this spot,
I feel you near,
Smile at the thought,
Are you watching me?
Hearing my words?
Smiling at me?
You spent so much time tending to your yard,
Making everything beautiful,
Teaching me so much,
You had that special touch,
Even when your illness took your strength,
You could be found in your garden,
With a shoulder and a hug,
Always time to chat,
Now your garden is so empty,
Without your spirit and your joy,
Empty and so lonely,
Now that you are not here to enjoy,
The robins have come to nest again,
As they do every year,
They must still feel your kindness in the air,
Your welcoming touch from previous years,
The days are sad and quiet,
Sitting here wishing to have one day,
To see your smile again,
To hear all you have to say,
I wish that I could see you,
Hug you as I leave,
Instead I whisper good-bye into the air,
Hoping that you hear me,
Know somehow I am here,
Our bondlives on in this place,
Here in your garden,
Your sanctuary,
Your favorite place.

Time After Time - From the book "Cry No More" By Tracey Jones
Time after time,
I fall behind,
Afraid to let go,
Afraid to rewind,
Surviving every situation thrown at me,
Struggling inside,
Afraid to break free,
Never letting go,
Always on edge,
Weighed down with memories, hate and resent.
Time after time,
I’ve sat and cried,
Frustrated with life,
Wanting to say good-bye,
Walls closing in,
Gasping for air,
Struggling to make everything sane,
Desperate for change,
Overcome with rage,
Wandering alone,
Into the darkness,
Afraid.
Time after time,
I’ve felt alive,
Happiness so close,
Yet I run and hide,
Afraid to look foolish,
Afraid to be criticized,
Afraid of what’s inside,
Never letting loose,
Never letting go,
Running from the unknown,
Afraid and alone.
Time after time,
I’ve stood my ground,
Never giving in,
Never backing down,
Not saying too much,
Or letting anyone in,
Dying for love,
Too scared to give in,
Never taking a chance,
If the risk is too high,
Going nowhere,
As life slowly goes by.

Sneak Peak - River Of Life
Dance Again
With time worn hands and hair turned grey,
She held him as he slipped away,
His loving gaze still in her eyes,
She felt his spirit stir to rise,
His time worn heart gave up the race,
Her silver tear drops found his face,
And far behind her tear filled face,
Their spirits twined in warm embrace,
Their spirits danced near life's thin veil,
Where angels sing and mortals wail,
Suspended there in time and space,
So near Gods hands and wonderous grace,
And as they danced a star strewn trail,
She felt him pass beyond the veil,
Her spirit back in earthly place,
No sorrow shows upon her face,
Her sorrow gone by Gods own hand,
For she knows they will dance again.
